Unfortunately, Community Arts Network SA is no longer being funded to maintain ccd.net - funding dried up in 2006. But this does not mean that it has died completely! The website is designed as a dynamic, living website that continues to thrive as long as it's members maintain an active role. Please keep adding your ccd activities to the site and keep it going! ccd.net is a fantastic resource in need of a bit of TLC. We will try and do as much as we can to check in on it and keep it maintained.

WHAT IS CCD - ccd is a term that's used to describe the philosophy, practices, intentions and outcomes of community-based cultural and artistic practices. It is through the things we do together as groups and communities that we gain a sense of collective identity, a sense of place and a sense of belonging. Community art can be a cultural practise - i.e. used for cultural action or community building work eg trained artists can be cultural workers i.e. artsworkers working within a community by using the arts to highlight issues that are relevant to that group.
