Now that the dust has settled on the first workshop, I feel that at this stage of the project our aims are quite simple-
1. Get the message about the project out to the community as clearly as possible, so that we can reach all those who are interested - build a participant base.
2.Create an enviroment where art can be made easily and ideas can be exchanged freely. Also where there can be an evolution of ideas through the artwork created.
3.Listen carefully to the ideas being expressed, no preconcieved ideas, so that as much as possible the detainees are driving the project - driving the materials choice, the conceptual threads, the final form of the sculpture.
It will be so interesting to see what emerges. Hopefully things will flow along smoothly.
