Hey Zoe, Looks like I missed you. Have been so busy at work, it is hard to find time to get onto the net. Preparations? Well you are there - but in case it is interesting to others -good idea to find out what kind of accomodation you can expect and what kind of things you'll be able to access - ie do you need to bring a can opener? etc I have been very lucky here in that I have managed to house sit and to share with other young volunteers (in other fields of work) and so we have pooled resources. I'll be preparing a box of goodies for Sasha when she arrives next year. I can't wait to hear how you are going? I am about to wind up my time here and it is very strange. The process of getting ready to leave is a whole different ball game to getting ready to come. I'm in the process of developing a debrief form - inspired by conversations with others going through a similar experience and I'll probably post it here once it's finished - or email it to Kate to send to you all. How to make sense of the holistic experience of living and working in another culture - particularly one in the developing world - there have been so many discoveries they are too numerous to mention. Needless to say it has been a profound experience. How I'll carry it into my life in Sydney will be very interesting. More to come Melinda
