Thread: Re: Stories to be told?

Maybe you could turn the situation around in regard to speaking to a local audience. Maybe you could think of the restoration of family... of trust... what to do now (most) of the violence has subsided. How do we get back to normality... how do we remember that the family unit is the most important thing... how do we forgive ourselves and more on.
Man, that is so horrific.
In regard to telling those stories to the rest of the world... we need to hear them... through this media... or with what you do with your experience on your return.
We in Australia, who have never been affected by civil war need to be reminded of this reality so that we remain empathetic to humanity and offer refuge to seekers of asylum and not accuse them of being line-jumpers or whatever. Understanding that they have been through horrific experiences and need safety and security.
