The Arts for Health Research Centre is a not-for-profit organization established with the aim of advancing the knowledge and practice of art and cultural activities and its links to quality of life.The Arts for Health Research Centre runs programs and projects in partnership with health, education and community organizations and services. The projects include cultural planning, public art planning and its implementation as well as on going programs. In 2002/2003 the AHRC coordinated programs in South Western Sydney Area Health Service, Central Coast Health, Hunter Health and Wentworth Health Service. It applied Post Occupancy Evaluation in John Hunter Hospital and Fairfield Health Service. The AHRC organized and sponsored Synergy: Arts, Health and Design World Symposium (Sydney, Feb 2003).

Arts in Action has been at the forefront of the disability arts movement since its incorporation in 1989. As the peak disability organisation for arts and disability in South Australia we promote access and participation in the arts by all people with disabilities, and recognise that the arts have become the language of disability culture. Arts in Action is a member of the DADAA National Network (Disability in the Arts, Disadvantage in the Arts, Australia), Australia's peak body working in Arts and Disability. Arts in Action continues to explore and build local and global networks through affiliation with national and international disability arts organisations. We also maintain regular contact with artists with disabilities from both Australia and overseas. Our aim is to facilitate voice and expression for people with disabilities.Event planning and management is included in our services, in addition to lobbying, addressing issues of access, social interaction and equality.
