The Australia Council Community Cultural Development Board (CCDB) is committed to ensuring access to, and participation in, the arts for all Australians. Applications are encouraged from communities and artists who have restricted access to cultural development opportunities as a result of geographical, social or economic factors.

The Board supports activities in all artforms and in communities across Australia, and supports international activities where there are genuine community cultural development benefits. Applications for international activities can be made to any of the Board's grants categories.

The Board offers assistance to individual artists and artsworkers for professional development opportunities that strengthen their leadership role in the arts and community sectors. Each year the Board also offers the Ros Bower Award in recognition of outstanding and sustained individual contribution to the progression of community cultural development practice.
