The community of Melrose are working with Pat Rix on writing their own community musical to celebrate 150 years of settlement. The piece looks at the stories and people of the town who have made the town what it is today. The songs of the piece are being written by the children of the town with the help of Pat Rix. The piece will be performed under the Big Top on the October long weekend 2003. The aim of the piece is not just to showcase the history of the town but to start the reintroduction of Indigenous culture to the community.
