The Brewarrina Circus is a CCD strategy employed to address some significant issues in Brewarrina, a remote town in the north of NSW. The Project employs a number of circus artists who conduct intensive residencies over approx. 6-8 weeks per session. In a town where there are very few activities for young people, this project is engaging with approximately half of the youth population. 95% of the participants are Aboriginal young people. The project aims to provide a focus for the young people of Brewarrina, working together in a creative environment to explore issues pertaining to healthy lifestyles, access to education and living in a remote community. Objectives:

Fully Consultative Approach To All Work
Undertaken By 2005, the Brewarrina Circus Project aims to have established itself as a key player in young people's performing arts and aims to establish partnerships and networks with other circus arts projects/organisations for young people.
