Project Description

‘I've got a universe inside me'... ‘it's a blessing', just as nature intended … or maybe you're ‘not so fortunate', found yourself in a ‘you're too young mess'…
It's all a question of ‘how do I get through this and how can you help me?'

Incubator…it's about getting pregnant…it's about the choices made…it's about how support is given…or found…it's about embracing life as an experience that demands sharing!

How can you be a good friend to someone who is pregnant? How can people who have not been pregnant, or had children, help and support friends who have? How does parenthood change your friendships or your social life?

7 young women from Adelaide's Southern Suburbs came together on the incubator project to share their experiences of being young parents . What resulted was a gentle expose of their lives, their experiences, their mistakes and their joys. The incubator women traveled to very private places to bring this show to life, uncovering personal histories and sharing intimate details, in the hope that you will feel inspired to talk about pregnancy and its consequences. incubator is a heartfelt expose' of the private side of pregnancy and teen parenting. It pays tribute to young women who have made big decisions. It honors the right for everybody's life to be a unique journey and take an individual direction.
