Out There Everywhere
The Community Cultural Development Board (CCDB) of the Australia Council for the Arts has announced the successful applicants to the exciting new initiative for young and emerging community cultural development (CCD) artists 'Out There Everywhere'. The initiative is being run from July 2003 - July 2004. It was developed in order to acknowledge the expertise and leadership of Australian community cultural development practitioners, under 30 years of age. The initiative is to provide them each with an opportunity to undertake an international residency, of between 3 and 6 months, with a variety of host organisations interested in ccd principles and practices. This will provide each of them with the opportunity to establish networks, develop projects and share knowledge with practitioners, communities and organisations across the world. The eight selected artists/artsworkers will be providing us with information, contacts, journal entries and updates on their residencies, through this forum, on a regular basis. This forum will provide practitioners and those interested in CCD and with the opportunity to discuss the details of their projects and experiences with them. This forum is aimed at helping us all to gain insight into what is happening in CCD practise overseas and to gain valuable networking opportunities with other practitioners and organizations both throughout Australia and overseas.
