Marcela Nievas Marcela is a CCD practitioner from Victoria, who is also a photographer, performer and educator. Her background includes having worked in CCD with women in the Yunnan province of southwest China, producing exhibition works. Marcela will undertake her residency with the City Council of Granollers from the 20th February - 20th June 2004. Whilst Marcela is undertaking her residency she will be working directly on a project in Granoller's North Zone, called `About Presences and Representations'. Zoe Scrogings
Zoe is a CCD practitioner from Queensland, who has a background in working with young people within health and welfare contexts, employing a broad array or artistic disciplines within her work.
Zoe will be undertaking her residency with the Mirror Art Group in Chaing- Rai from the 22nd of November 2003 - 21st May 2004.
Zoe will be focusing specifically on a performing arts/movement project, working with women in the local village. This is to focus on a series of performances, which will become a part of a larger theatre project. This project is intended to enhance the weakened cultural pride of the Akha people.

Tamsin Sharp
Tamsin is a CCD artist from South Australia with a strong background in film making, writing and directing.
Tamsin will be undertaking her residency with the Seattle Arts Commission from 1st April - 30th June 2004.
Tamsin will take part in the 'Arts Up' Pilot Program where she will be matched with a community in Seattle and a Seattle CCD artist to assess the communities needs and develop a project suited to that particular community.

Melinda Collie-Holmes
Melinda is a CCD artist from NSW with a strong background in theatre directing, script writing and music. Her experience includes a four-year appointment as the Artistic Director of Shopfront Theatre.
Melinda is currently undertaking her residency, which began with Wan Smol Bag in Vanuatu on the 8th of July and will continue until 23rd of Dec 2003.
During her time with Wan Smol Bag Melinda will be working with young people who are attached to the company in creating a new issue based play. Challenges will include creating work with a minimum of props or effects and being willing to tour the performance long distances by foot.

Sasha Zahra
Sasha is a CCD artist based in South Australia. Her background is in theatre and performance. She also has a strong background in working with disadvantaged young people.
Sasha will undertake her residency with Wan Smol Bag in Vanuatu from February- July 2004.
During her time with Wan Smol Bag Sasha will continue to work with the same group of young people as Melinda but on a different project. She too will face similar challenges with learning a new language and creating work that can be interpreted by local communities with little or no education.

Gemma Pepper
Gemma is a CCD artist who is based (when at home) in WA. She has a background in performance and has been involved previously in CCD practice both throughout Australia and overseas. Gemma will undertake her self-devised residency with Peace Links in Sierra Leone from the 8th of Dec 2003 - 9th April 2004.
During this time Gemma will work alongside other Peace Links artists, offering her skills in performance, movement and theatre to the workshop program. The program is aimed at assisting young people from extremely difficult backgrounds, including ex-child soldiers, to create positive change within themselves and their communities.

Tandi Rabinowitz
Tandi is a CCD artist from NSW with a background in digital media, design and film. Her history includes having worked with CCD principles in a languages project in Jalapa Mexico.
Tandi will conduct her self-devised residency with Art Start New York from the 1st of April - 30th June 2004.
During her residency with Art Start Tandi will primarily be involved with assisting the director of the Media Works Project. Media Works is a program that works with disadvantaged teenagers, many either living on the streets or recently released from prison. The project aims to use popular culture to engage their interest in art as a tool for education and self-expression.

James Winter
James is a CCD artist from NSW with a background in acting and theatre direction. He has worked for several South Australian organisations including Urban Myth Theatre of Youth and Restless Dance Company.
James will conduct his self-devised residency with the African Hope School in Egypt for 6 months during 2004.
During his residency with The African Hope School James will work on developing an art-based program at the school, providing the children with an opportunity to express and celebrate their cultural stories.
