Project Description

The band members will use real-time midi instrument connections to perform simultaneously, epitomizing collaborative-based human interactions on the Internet. Humanoid avatars will represent a live audience and musicians, who can engage in voice/text based chat throughout the performance.
CyberJazz will produce the first Internet musical works, based entirely on live, spontaneous musical dialogue, making it an exploratory new work within an exciting new musical paradigm. Musicians from the Cyberjazz 'village' will also be invited to jam along with the band.
The project not only presents a new Arts and Cultural product within a virtual context, but also fulfills the needs of a current ‘static' VR aesthetic.
